The Platform in 9 short videos
This page restores the archived platform from Dr. Howard's 2020 Green Party of Canada leadership campaign. It is preserved here as a direct-share archive rather than part of the main site navigation.
The original platform was framed around “Healthy Planet, Healthy People” and a national vision of wellbeing, health, equity, and dynamic stability in a rapidly changing world.
Healthy Planet, Healthy People
Nine original campaign videos and their archived platform planks from summer 2020.

National Vision of Wellbeing & Health
What gets measured gets managed. Gross Domestic Product has been our default measure of national success, but was never designed for that purpose, and doesn’t correlate well with wellbeing in high-income nations.
We need a meaningful shared goal to guide our efforts as we steer through these crises: a new North Star. The platform proposed a Wellbeing Dashboard tracking Natural Capital, Social Capital, Financial Capital, and Human Capital, along with indicators from the Canadian Index of Wellbeing.
